One and Done!!!

I met with Catherine on Saturday afternoon in the wet yucky weather. It took about 2 hours and we completed a look that will make Catherine look the part of a blushing bride on her big day. Stay tuned for pictures of Catherine's big day in about a month.

Some awesome things about Catherine:
-she's a calm bride to be
-she had her mothers wedding dress re-constructed for her own wedding dress
-she met her husband as a child at camp
-her dad sounds like lots of fun
-She's going to make a BEAUTIFUL Bride!

1st Consultation

While I've done some weddings in the past, this is my first pre-wedding consultation. Amber Woody was kind enough to give me name to a young lady getting married April 25th. Catherine will be a beautiful bride and I'm looking forward to meeting her tomorrow.

What's in a name?

What in the world does CheekyFabulous mean you ask?

So, why not have an incredibly, astonishing, successful, bold, and SAUCY company name!!!!!

To Create or NOT to Create?????

Ok, so I have another big idea.....CheekyFabulous's own makeup line???? If I'm really going to do this, why not do it big. I've contacted a few makeup manufactures and am looking at branding my own makeup to use with clients and perhaps marketing it to other places as well. Thanks to Elizabeth Byrd for giving me a name of a person to contact!

Very preliminary at this point, but I think this could make a huge impact. Now, the question is????

What is it going to cost me???

Up and Running

Since I was young or at least as long as I can remember I have enjoyed any thing that revolved around fashion. I'm sure most girls would say they have an interest in fashion, well except for my youngest sister, who still to this day is just as pretty with no make up and sweats on as she is all dressed up. Jealous? Perhaps?

It wasn't until just recently that I figured out that I could do this as a job. It all started about 2 years ago when the amount of weddings I was in was just about the same as the number of weekends in a year. No, I'm kidding, but really I was in several weddings and ones in which we did our own makeup and I started to do my friends makeup because they asked me to. Eventually I started to do makeup in all the weddings I was in. So I eventually had that "Ah ha" moment and decided I wanted to do this as a side business.

So........thats what I did. I'm hoping to evolve the business as it grows, hoping to eventually become a wedding and event stylist. Focusing on wedding and event apparel, makeup, and hair. Please stay tuned for updates and photos.
